Totems of the earh
Landscape as an image
Series of 16 works
2026
This project explores the ability of the landscape to become an image. Working with fragments of the natural environment: earth, stones, roots, water and soil surface - I look for moments when random shapes begin to resemble faces, masks or totems. Each photo is not an image of a specific landscape, but an attempt to see a face, sign or presence in the landscape.

In the project, the landscape ceases to be a background and begins to act as a subject. He looks back. These images do not create characters literally, but reveal those forms that are already hidden in the structure of earth, water and stone. This is how "totems" appear - conditional keepers of the place, arising from the very matter of the territory.

In this sense, the series offers the viewer to slow down and see new, unexpectedly anthropomorphic images in the usual natural forms.
